BRC-100 P-HC-BRC-10000000-ABB Harmony Bridge Controller Module The BRC-100 Harmony Bridge Controller is a high-performance, high-capacity process controller. It is a rack controller designed to interface with both Harmony I/O blocks and Harmony rack I/O in the Symphony Enterprise Management and Control System. The Harmony bridge controller is fully compatible with the INFI 90 OPEN system in functionality, communication and packaging. The Harmony bridge controller collects process I/O, performs control algorithms and outputs control signals to process level devices. It also imports and exports process data of other controllers and system nodes, and accepts control commands from operators and computers connected to the network. The Harmony bridge controller is designed for redundancy. This can be achieved while remaining connected to the Hnet, or without, using an optional BRC redundancy kit. The BRC-100 acts as a communication bridge between various fieldbus networks and the Infi 90 DCS. It allows for seamless integration of devices using protocols like Modbus, Profibus, and CANopen with the Infi 90 system. Features: Fieldbus Network Connectivity: Supports a variety of industrial communication protocols for connecting to field devices. Data Conversion and Expansion: Facilitates communication between different protocols and expands data to be compatible with Infi 90 systems. Isolation: Provides electrical isolation between the fieldbus network and DCS for increased safety and reduced noise. Configuration Tools: Software tools are available to configure and manage bridge settings and communication protocols.NOTE: The redundancy links of the BRC-100 are not compatible with the redundancy links of the BRC-300. Do not replace a redundant BRC-100 with a BRC-300 unless the primary BRC-100 is replaced with a BRC-300 as well.
